Meet the Groomers
My name is Pamela Anderson. I am a professional groomer trained at the Massachusetts School of All Breed Dog Grooming, graduating in 1980. My husband Carl and I have been grooming pets since opening my salon in Massachusetts in 1981. In 2011 I closed my salon and we made our big move to Florida. Since then, I have continued to groom part-time here in Florida but have grown frustrated with the local service providers and could no longer compromise the quality of my service.
I live in Palm City with my Husband Carl, we have a love for golden’s and we have been hobby breeders for years. I know it sounds like a lot, but we have been breeding goldens for over 30 years and since my two wonderful children are grown and off on their own living in other states our pets help fill the void.
Why 4Pawz?
We are a full service state-of-the-art pet salon on wheels that will provide a safe and luxurious atmosphere for your pets’s spa day. Don’t spend your time driving around to and from noisy, stinky, germy grooming shops just to leave your pet there all day in a cage. We travel to you at either your home or office with our fully equipped mobile grooming van and give your special furry friend the undivided personal attention they deserve.
Why Not Use The Pet Store?
Pet shops and pet stores that offer grooming are certainly not a pleasant experience for the pets. Pets are required to be there 6 or more hours, often caged, and frequently without potty breaks. The constant barking, howling and meowing of other fearful pets combined with the sound of multiple high decibel dryers all going at once causes unneeded stress to your pet. You’ve probably heard of owners suspecting their pet was drugged, and while we all hope that is never true it is most often a result of fatigue, high stress and dehydration. So simply SIT BACK AND RELAX, while we spoil and pamper your pooch right at your doorstep.
How Long Does it Take?
The average groom takes between one and two hours so your precious pet is back in the comfort of their own home in no time at all. We are committed to your pet’s safety and health and will never subject them to anything that we observe as being too stressful for them. Each pet’s personality is different and while most pets tolerate all forms of grooming some do not – being dried for example. If they are too stressed out by this (even though we use a non heated dryer by hand) then we will towel dry them and suggest that they be allowed to dry in the comfort of their home. This is one factor that can affect the time, but your pet’s overall wellbeing comes first!

How Often Should a Dog be Groomed?
On average dogs should be gromed every 4-6 weeks. If you prefer NOT to be burdened with daily brushing you dog should be groomed more often. If you like to keep your dogs coat trimmed short, you may be able to allow more time between professional grooming sessions. It is also dependent on your dogs breed, coat type and how much time you spend brushing between groomings.
Is There a Trip Charge or Additional Service Fee?
NO. You are paying for a specialized service. Mobile grooming costs more than taking your dog to the groomer for several reasons. While the convenience and individualized attention of mobile grooming are a specialized service, our pricing is all inclusive and even includes only premium quality products. You can rest assured that you and your pet are getting the very best available.
Do You Need to Use my Water or Electricity?
NO. Our van is state-of-the-art and is a completely self-contained unit. We have fresh water tanks, a water heater, a generator for electricity and air conditioning.
When Are Appointments Available?
Typically, appointments are scheduled Monday-Saturday and we book as early as 8am. We offer evening appointments too (please note that most guard-gated communities do not allow a commercial vehicle access after 4pm, and some do not allow on access on Saturdays.. please check with your HOA). Grooming sessions run anywhere from 60 mins to 2 hours depending on the dog and the style clip. Please note: THERE IS A 60 MINUTE WINDOW FOR ALL APPOINTMENTS. Working with animals and traffic is not always easy to predict so please be patient… we’re on the way! And we will ALWAYS call if it will be longer than 60 minutes. So if you are planning to be home for the grooming, please allow 2.5-3 hours at home. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
What if I Need to Cancel My Appointment?
CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEASET 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME: Being a mobile service I only take less grooming appointments per day so a last minute cancellation cannot be re-filled. If you are not home when we arrive for your scheduled appointment, you will be assessed a $50 No-Show Fee, per pet. ($75 No-Show fee, per pet during the Holiday Season 11/15-12/31).
